J.K. Rowling, author of the Harry Potter books, has finally released the results of the latest Wizard’s Ordinary Magic & Basic Aptitude Test (W.O.M.B.A.T.). To check how you did on the test, logon to www.jkrowling.com and click on the W.O.M.B.A.T. card on the top of the page.
The online test gave even the most die-hard Harry Potter fans an insecurity complex. They were a bunch of mind-boggling questions concerning inferis, hags, vampires, werewolves, & house-elves. Most interesting was the question on the 3 most indispensable items in case of trouble. My choices? The invisibility cloak, Peruvian Instant Darkness Powder, and the broomstick (although now I’m wishing I chose the Hand of Glory instead of the former).
I was resigned to getting a Troll, but surprisingly got an Exceeds Expectations. Ah, nothing like high marks to get you going.
How do you sign up for a student code?
you can get a student code when the next wombat comes out! i think its closed now.
bobo24, sue\’s right. The WOMBAT is now officially closed. But I do know that JKRowling will publish another round. When its already up, just take the test, and your student code will be displayed when you\’ve finished taking it.
got an \”Acceptable\”!!! The questions were really hard! By the way, remember to cut and paste your student code. Dont just type it out. Because the number zero (0) and capital O looks so much alike. It took me 5 tries to get in.

Sorry guys, still no announcement on when the next WOMBAT will be online. It might take a few months (I remember it took a long time for the latest one to come out)
But JKRowling did give a new treat, like what Aziman said: the title of the last book is now up!

I saw on the site that you were able to enter an activation code…i still don’t get how you can get one though?
J.K. Rowling introduced some sort of “Timeturner” which takes you back to the times she’s opened the door. Try it out!
I took the three tests and got, in this order, the following grades: Acceptable, Exceeds Expectations and Outstanding :D I’m very happy, but I still don’t have an id, I guess that part of WOMBAT doesn’t work anymore :(
the time turner is displaying today’s date but the door isn’t opening. someone please explain? I feel so confused.
